Erin Oakley is a Madison based performing songwriter and worship leader who loves to play venues both inside and outside of the church. She writes and records in a variety of genres from Acoustic Folk-Pop to Contemporary Christian (CCM), Country, Pop and R&B.
Her journey began quietly, writing songs that remained unheard by even her closest family until a pivotal moment in 2006 when she won a competition to open for seven-time Grammy Award Winner Al Jarreau. This breakthrough not only unveiled her talent but also led to a special invitation to perform at his Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony in October 2016, shortly before his passing.
Throughout her career, Erin has shared stages with esteemed artists such as Peter Furler and Phil Joel of the Newsboys, emerging talents like Bryan Olesen from The Voice, and Christian Hip-hop artists Rip and Nicky Gracious. These experiences enriched her musical journey and fueled her artistic exploration.
Before her move to Nashville, TN, in 2013, Erin was part of the Dells-based country group Swifkick, performing over 50 shows a year. In Nashville, she worked in an office overlooking Music Row while leading worship at a church and singing in the Indie Pop Rock Band Rutherford. She was also invited to sing at conferences across the nation and participated in numerous singer/songwriter showcases, including getting to perform at the iconic Bluebird Cafe twice.
At the heart of Erin’s artistry lies a message of hope, faith, and some lessons learned the hard way, making her not just a performer but an authentic and relatable storyteller whose songs resonate with listeners. Her music serves as windows into the human experience, capturing life’s beauty and complexity with honesty, vulnerability, and grace.
Whether she’s leading worship in a church, playing festivals and concert venues, or pouring her heart out in the studio, Erin approaches her craft with unwavering authenticity and a commitment to connecting with God and listeners on a deeply personal level.
Off-stage, Erin and her husband Mike live on a farm on the Northside of Madison finding peace and inspiration in everyday life occurrences with their two daughters Abigail (2.5) and Josephine (1).
