Led by The Jimmy’s saxophonist Pete Ross student group The Blue Dyes plays both contemporary and classic R&B, funk, and jazz complete with rhythm section and horns. The band is part of Madison Music Foundry’s Performance Shop program where bands rehearse weekly and play gigs around the area.

Locally owned and community supported, Madison Music Foundry provides a professional and comfortable atmosphere for musicians to learn, rehearse and record music. With 17 studios there are often many activities happening simultaneously including band rehearsals, lessons, classes and education workshops. This creates a vibrant community where instructors, students and working musicians all are in constant contact with each other.
