Smokin’ Meerkats are a new 5-piece band made up of seasoned veterans of the Midwest music scene, and former national touring musicians, playing roadhouse country music.  What’s that?  Remember the movie “Roadhouse” with that dreamy Patrick Swayze?  Imagine a country band that plays at the rowdy bar in that movie, the “Double Deuce,” and you’ve got it.  Original songs, and covers from artists like: Waylon Jennings, Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam, Sturgill Simpson, Ernest Tubb, Hank III, Blackberry Smoke, Johnny Cash, Whitey Morgan, Commander Cody, Merle Haggard, Junior Brown, & more.

Featuring former members of Hank Kimball and the County Agents, The Big Dirty, Wayland, Rough Country, and the deVillebillies.  And, also boasting the rare Father/Son/Son combo in the same band!   Smokin’ Meerkats are: David Hall – acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, vocals; Dallas Hall – electric & acoustic guitar, vocals; Josh Hall – Drums, washboard, vocals; Craig Robson – Pedal Steel guitar, electric guitar, dobro, banjo, vocals; and Kevin Wright – upright & electric bass, vocals.
